Sanitation3 relies on direct water desalination and treatment technologies. According to this principle, the sewage flow is dealt with directly as soon as it arrives at the station (without the need for mediators or chemicals) with two main types of treatment as follows:

- Soft treatment (negative upward pumping): This involves the direct treatment of the gaseous and liquid components using innovative evaporator and flash condenser pumps in three or more stages within evaporator and condenser tanks, yielding various gases and purified water.

- Hard treatment (positive downward pumping): This involves the direct treatment of the solid components by heavy pumping to drying and fermentation tanks in three or more stages, yielding methane and organic fertilizer.
